Today's schedule is D-C-B-A
D Block Criminology 12 - First we'll finish our documentary from yesterday and then we'll watch an episode of Criminal Minds from Season 2 "Aftermath", where the BAU investigates a serial rapist who had been attacking young women at religious schools and stopped for six weeks. He has resumed his attacks, but is now targeting a different demographic of women. After I'd like you to focus on two questions: one on Groth's typology of rapist and the other on the causes for sexual assault.
1. Explain the three types of rapist according to Groth (anger, power, and sadistic)
2. Identify and explain the causes for sexual assault
And if you're still struggling with consent...

C & B Blocks Social Studies 11 - I'll have you work in partners on two Charter case studies from the All About Law texts in the class...R. v. Keegstra (1990) SCC questions 1-6 from pages 38 & 39 and Irwin Toy Limited v. Attorney General of Quebec (1989) SCC questions 1-7 (however don't do 5b) on pages 45 & 46.
A Block Geography 12 -Today we'll watch the Minute by Minute video on the Eruption of Mount Saint Helens which will take up about most of class time and then you have one question to
address in your week 5 notes/package (basically the positives and negatives of
volcanoes using Saint Helens as an example). A good article from Popular
Mechanics can be found here...it interviews survivors of the blast in 1980.
Pictures of before and after the eruption can be found on the National
Geographic website here. There's a good article from the May 2010 National
Geographic magazine called "Mountain
Transformed".
