Today's schedule is C-D-A-B

You have assignments due today...please do not give me any "My dog ate my homework" or "My computer crashed with all my work on it" excuses. Turn in your work today please.

C Block Law 9/10 - Today we start with our final quiz in the course. This quiz will be on crimes, arrests, searches, pre-trial hearings and trial procedures. After the quiz we'll finish our look at the court structure in our province and then I'll take the last bit of class to finish any questions you have from the question box. Finally, we'll wrap up the course and you'll need to hand in your URL for your forensic science web page project today.

D Block Social Studies 11 - Today in class you'll finish your work with your partner on the infographic poster on the commodity / resource / monoculture crop that you researched on Friday. The goal of this assignment is to understand the connections between the social problems (gender, health, children, etc.) in HIPC's with economic development. We'll then take time out of the day to review for tomorrow's Provincial Exam.

B Block Geography 12 - Today we will take the whole class to watch the rest of the movie Home that we started yesterday. We'll talk about the things you can do to address the problems / issues that the movie raises. Think about the title. What is our collective home? Now think about the statement from the beginning of the film...

Listen to me, please. You're like me, a homo sapiens. A wise human. Life; a miracle in the universe appeared around 4 billion years ago and we humans only 200,000 years ago, yet we have succeeded in disrupting the balance so essential to life. Listen carefully to this extraordinary story, which is yours, and decide what you want to do with it.
