C - Criminology 12 - Today we'll wrap up the work from the first Chapters (1 and 2) in the Criminology: The Core textbook with a quiz...your first quiz in the course! After and mark the first two sections together, you need to read through the next section in Chapter 3 on "Theories of Victimization" (dealing with Victim Precipitation, Lifestyle, and Routine Activities) - pages 61-64. Your work will be to explain and compare the three theories (as a silo chart) and answer questions 2 & 3 on page 72 in the Criminology: The Core text. We should finish this in class today and if there is time we'll begin looking at the typical victim of crime activity I'd like you to work on next (if not, we'll get to it tomorrow and bring your coloured pencils to class).

B - Social Studies 10 - Today we're going to work together in the class on explaining and identifying the six physiographic regions of Canada. You've been working on this as a project and today you'll get some notes to help you with your test on Friday. We'll use the Atlas along with the Canadian Atlas on line to go through each one of the regions - identifying the geologic structures, natural resources, climate types, ecosystems, population patterns and other cool stuff. This is, of course, in preparation for your unit test on Friday (February 26th). This unit test will cover map conventions (skills and comprehension), geographic basics (latitude, longitude, direction, and time zones), topographic map interpretation, and the physiographic regions of Canada.
A - Earth & Space Science 11 - Today we will continue with our look at mining in Canada; specifically we'll focus on ores, minerals, and fossil fuels (mineral and energy resources). You'll need to finish up the work on For Review questions 3, 6, 7, 8, & 9 and For Discussion question 8 from page 120 that we started last Wednesday (February 17th).
