Today's schedule is D-C-B-A

D Block Social Studies 11Today with Ms. Curry...we'll talk about how countries deal with stress - what do they do? What do the people do? Who might the people turn to for hope? We'll talk about the rise of dictatorships, totalitarian and fascist governments, and we'll also take a look at some powerful leaders in the 1930s.

C Block Criminology 12 - Today we'll have ten people present their criminology topics for our seminar presentations. I wish to thank all of those students who volunteered to go yesterday and I sincerely look forward to today's presentations. Best of luck. If you are interested UFVVIU and SFU (including the CrimOne first year expertience program @ SFU Surrey) offer Criminology degrees here in British Columbia. B Block Geography 12 - Today we will look at deserts and desert environments. We'll see what Tim & Moby have to say about deserts and we'll analyze the different types of deserts. I'll show you the Namib desert and the Skeleton Coast and then you'll define alluvial fan, playa, yardang, and sand dune. You'll have a question on desertification and there are some good websites to help here:

If there's time we'll watch the Planet Earth video on Deserts. Do not forget that you have a unit final test on Thursday.
