Moving Forward...

Hello family.

I hope you are all well and that you are doing the things necessary to keep yourself safe and healthy during these strange days. Next week, March 30th to April 3rd, will be a planning week for the delivery of learning opportunities in a different way now that face-to-face instruction is no longer possible in School District 71. I will be checking in (by phone and email) with all the students in AG 36 to see how you're doing and to gather a bit of information to help teachers in the planning of the rest of the year. As you may gather school is not done, but it will be different. Your teachers will be developing some form of distance/virtual education for the remainder of this year. Please be aware that we are ending Term 3 as of Monday. You need to go to MyEdBC and find out if you are missing any work and I would highly suggest you contact your classroom teachers to find ways to submit it. Parents, please take a few moments to look at Keep Learning, the official BC website that has a collection of resources to help support learning while families are home due to the COVID-19. Notice it says, "help support learning"...you will not be required to home school your child during this time.

In Human Geography there are many who have yet to submit your immigrant/migration project and all weekly packages up to and including week 5/6 need to be submitted.

In Legal Studies there are some who have yet to submit your Human Rights poster project and all work up to and including AR/MR q.1-5 p.130 Court q.1-5 p.138 & court level scenarios needs to be submitted.

In Criminology there are many who have yet to upload/publish your blog entries and all work up to and including your Robbery, Hate Crime & Terrorism Questions needs to be submitted.

For Human Geography, Legal Studies and Criminology students please either scan your work on your phone and send me a pdf copy of it or take a photo of your work and send it to me.

In some ways Term 4 will be different and in other ways there will be a consistency of learning opportunities. What things will look like exactly I'm not sure, however I can state with confidence that in Human Geography there will not be a final Inquiry Project to complete and in Legal Studies there will not be a Criminal Law unit test to complete. Beyond that, I'm not too sure. I do know that this blogsite will continue to have all of the activities and resources outlined for you but that may be weekly rather than daily. There will be work for you to complete so keep an eye on this site.

Above all I sincerely hope that you are well. It will be strange that I do not have a door to shut to then say "good morning...family" afterwords opening it again with my foot. I'm sure you'll miss that...
😆

Be well, stay tuned and breathe...we'll get through this.
