Hello family; we live in uncertain and strange days indeed.
Today, as you may be aware, the Minister of Education (Rob Flemming) indefinitely suspended all face to face instruction across the entire province. This does not mean we are done...
What this means, I'm not sure, however it is Tuesday on the first week of Spring Break. I do know that the BCTF and the Ministry of Education are working on a plan as is the CDTA and School District 71. What the rest of the year looks like I really don't know. I did tell you on Friday that I will be able to find a way to continue working with you towards success. Whether that means we'll use Google Hangout, Storyboard That, Seesaw, Edmodo, or Zoom I don't know. I will use this blog as a communication piece and will keep you updated as soon as I have a better picture of what the rest of the year looks like for us.
First, enjoy the next two weeks of your Spring Break. Be safe, be healthy and keep a social distance between you and those around you. If you do present symptoms of COVID-19 then self isolate. Don't obsess with the news, breathe...we will get through this. Here's what I can promise you. I will work hard to find a way that will allow you and I to finish the year so that you achieve success and that the classes you're working on have the integrity they deserve.
I trust you. I know we'll get through this and hopefully learn something new and have a bit of fun along the way. Until then, be well...
Young
