Welcome back family; I hope your long weekend was restful. Including today, there are only 19 classes remaining in the year so buckle up it's about to speed up.

Today's schedule is B-A-D-C

B - Earth & Space Science 11 - Thursday you were in the library to work on your major project (check in this Friday) and on Wednesday you began an "Atmosphere in the Vertical" activity. I'll need you to finish the activity from last Wednesday and then we'll get to what we were unable to finish last week. We'll look at the controversy regarding human induced changes to the atmosphere specifically
  1. Acid deposition through H2SO4 and HNO3;
  2. Ozone depletion through CFCl3Chlorofluorocarbons (CFC's); and
  3. Global Warming through Greenhouse Gas emissions CO2, CH4, N2O and SF6
You'll need to work on questions 12 through 21 on page 426 of the Earth Science and the Environment text.

A & D - Criminology 12 - Today we are off to the library for our sixth blog assignment and I'd like you to tell me about auto theft. I'd like you to look up information on why people steal cars, where in Canada most cars are stolen from, what types of vehicles are most commonly stolen and I'd like you to tell me how much auto theft is actually happening in Canada (rates). Then I'd like you to tell me methods of protection (how to stop your car from being stolen). I'll post current marks in the class so that you can see what you need to get caught up on. Tomorrow we'll look at a history of theft and examine shoplifting.

C - Geography 12 - Today we will finish Twister (see a preview here). Remember you need to identify meteorological errors (look at the "goofs" section on the IMDb website or the 68 Things wrong with Twister website) and you need to figure out who is most like Mr. Young.

Alan Ruck is Robert Nurick "Rabbit" (and Ferris Bueller's friend Cameron too!)
Bill Paxton is Bill Harding "the Extreme"
Helen Hunt is Dr. Jo Harding
Philip Seymour Hoffman is Dustin Davis "Dusty"
