Today's schedule is D-C-A-B

A & D - Criminology 12 - Today we will finish last week's work on deviance. Using the text and your brains you need to come up with a list of things that are deviant but not criminal and a list of things that are criminal but not deviant. This will take us the rest of the class to complete and tomorrow we'll wrap up Chapter 1 in the course.

C - Geography 12 - Today....Oh today we start weather, the best topic ever! Before we get to my favourite topic you need to get me your week 9 and your week 10 packages if you haven't handed them in already. You'll need to brainstorm a list of things you know (or think you know) about weather and questions you've always wanted answered about the topic. After, we will look at extremes of weather to get an idea of how cool (or hot) weather really is. I'm so excited to be starting weather! Hail, lightning, tornadoes, and hurricanes are four on "the list" get ready, it's going to be a bumpy ride.
Every day we are going to start by looking at the synoptic forecast along with weather maps.

B - Earth & Space Science 11 - Today we'll finish the Geologic Journey worksheet on the Rockies that we started last Wednesday and continued through the server meltdown yesterday. I'll go over questions 13 & 15 on the video worksheet with you (sketching the photocopied pictures of mountain structures). For the rest of the class I need you to work through the "For Review" questions 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11 & 13 from page 214 in your Earth Science and the Environment textbook that I assigned yesterday in class. For the last part of the class we'll begin watching the Discovery Channel mocumentary "Supervolcano". (watch the really cool preview here). While the video is on it would be wise for you to claim all of your work from the "out bin" especially considering that you have your unit final on Thursday and the work that you completed is on the test. Please spend some time preparing for your test as it will be your first major mark of term four.
