Thursday's schedule is B-A-Lunch-D-C.

B - Geography 12 - Today we will quickly review rivers and streams by watching the Brain Pop video on floods. After we will discuss floods and watch a video on the Red River flood of 1997 ("Flood of the Millennium") and then you'll need to work on the Red River flood study in your week 8 package.

A - Social Studies 11 - With Mr. Jones you will break down the economic crash of 1929, and break down the key pieces as to why this occurred; your activity will be to draw this up as a web diagram. Next you'll engage in a discussion of the resources that Canada is currently involved with to show the vulnerability of the crops/ industries we depend upon today. Next, you'll have a discussion of what occurred in the Prairies when the 'Dust Bowl' occured and examine the breakdown of the class structure in Canadian society and how the depression affected them. D - Law 12 -Today we will continue with our look at the Controlled Drug and Substances Act and drug related offences in Canada. We'll discuss some cases (R. v. Zammit, 1993) and you'll need to work through some questions on page 218 (4, 5, & 7) and page 220 (2 & 3). Tomorrow we'll look at drinking and driving and driving under the influence of a narcotic.
