Today's schedule is C-D-Lunch-B-A

D- Law 12 - Today we will examine what the Criminal Code says a "vehicle" is and what a public space is in relation to impaired driving, including the very important legal concept of "care or control". You and a partner will look at R. v. Hundal (1993), R. v. Bernshaw (1995), R. v. Colarusso (1994), and R. v. Dersch (1993). Read through the cases and discuss the questions together. You will briefly summarize each the four cases and identify the important points of law that an individual in society (a reasonable person) should learn from them (think the moral of the story). I'll need you to do this as a concept map on a large chart paper, showing connections between the four cases.

Hurricane Katrina impact on Dauphin Island
B- Geography 12 - Today we're continuing our look at water by focusing on coastal processes and landforms. We will look at how water erodes, shapes, and creates coastal landscapes by focusing on long shore current & drift. We'll analyze the differences between an erosional and depositional coastline and try to make sense of the hazards of living along depositional coastlines (think Cape Hatteras, North Carolina). For additional information and help on questions 8, 11, 13, & 14 in your Geosystems text go to:

A - Social Studies 11- Today with Mr. Jones you'll start the movie 'Cinderella Man', which demonstrates the highs and lows of the average person in the late 20's and aerly 30's. Although it is an American movie it demonstrates the events fo the average person well. Your activity will be to explain what life was like for the average person based on the main character, James Braddock, in the movie.
