Today's schedule is DCBA

We have a Remembrance Day Assembly today, so the morning class schedule is altered:

9:05 – 10:05 – D Block
10:10 am – 11:50 C Block
10:15- Students called down for 25-minute assembly

D/C Blocks Social and Environmental Sciences - In D block with Ms. Nadeau you'll be going to the community garden (across Headquarters Road) for a mushroom log inoculation workshop with Bo del Valle Garcia from LUSH Valley Food Action Society. You'll be required to submit a step by step process of inoculation of the mushroom log as well as 2 discussion questions in class next day.
Questions:
  • How does the practice of mushroom inoculation compare to the TEK practices we studied last week? Make at least 3 connections.
  • What would happen if everyone was required by law to grow a portion of their own food
In C block, with Benton, you'll be working on your soil lab after the Remembrance Day assembly.

B Block Legal Studies - Today we have Cst. Terragni from the Comox Valley detachment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. I am excited to hear your questions and remember we offer RCMP Mountie Camp here in school district 71. If you are interested, check out careers with the RCMP

A Block Criminology - I have the Learning Commons/Library booked for you to continue your work on either your multiple murder blog post (Monday, October 31st) or your shoplifting poster if you're using Canva. For fun, check out the following links and the sweet old school 1975 video on Shoplifting
