Today's schedule is DCBA

D & A Blocks Human Geography - Today you have your first test in the course and it will be on weeks 1-4 (Geography Fundamentals, Population and Development). There are 30 Multiple-
Selection questions, 10 True/False questions and 1 short answer question (worth 10 marks) for a total of 55 possible marks (with a bonus drawing question). Your first order of business is to relax and read each question carefully. Make sure you understand what is being asked of you and if you don't know ask. Don't leave any question blank...try to answer everything. Don't forget you may use your weeks 1-4 note packages for this test and you have as much time of the block as you need. When you finish you may work on your week 5 package (or you know that week 4 one that was due this past Wednesday).

B Block Criminology - Today we'll finish the CBC DocZone Documentary "Sext Up Kids". The documentary exposes how growing up in a hyper-sexualized culture hurts our kids and sends the wrong messages that could potentially lead to sexual assaults. After I'd like you to finish your two questions on Groth's typology of rapist and the causes for sexual assault and then I've added two more questions based on the documentary we watched yesterday and today:

  1. Explain the three types of rapist according to Groth (anger, power, and sadistic)
  2. Identify and explain the causes for sexual assault
  3. Does the increasingly blurry boundary between public and private sexuality pose some hazards for young people?
  4. From your own observations of children, is there anything countering the hypersexualization of children’s culture described in Sext Up Kids? What policies might help in changing the negative effects of this trend?
