D - Geography 12 - Today is a crucial day in Geography 12; we will be discussing biogeochemical cycles - specifically the carbon and nitrogen cycles. We will also be discussing the flow of energy through an ecosystem (trophic layers and food webs). It is very important that you review systems and feedback from week 1 of the course. C - Law 12 - Today we are going to the library to work through the case study project. Please make sure you use your class time wisely because after today there are only six (6) classes remaining before our two in-class exam days and eight (8) classes remaining before the case study project is due. We'll be back in the class tomorrow to begin our short unit on family law.

A - Introduction to Law 9/10 - Today we are going to look through the physical and mental elements of a crime. We'll focus on the three types of criminal intent and understand the difference between Strict Liability and Indictable Offenses in Canada (remember that in Canada we do not have felony and misdemeanor offences). Next, we'll look at the four parties to a criminal offense and you'll begin a small cartoon activity about the topic. You'll get an 11x17 sheet of paper; you'll select one criminal offense; and then you'll need to draw/identify the four parties to that offense (primary actor or perpetrator, aider, abettor, and counselor).
