Today's classes are:

9:15 - 11:50 B Block Human Geography
12:30 - 3:05 C Block Legal Studies

B Block Human Geography - Today we'll look at the Key Question: Why Are Some Human Actions Not Sustainable? We'll look at what a resource is (renewable and non-renewable) along with the uses and misuses of resources by humans.

We'll figure out what "sustainability" means (The three pillars - social, environmental and economic) and take a look at the UN Sustainable Development Goals

I will have you and a partner look at one of the goals and explain to the class:
  1. What's the Problem
  2. Why is it a Problem
  3. What can be done about it
We'll look at the progress of these goals in The Sustainable Development Goals Report 2019 and lastly, I'll need you to fill in the chart in your week 2 package on the three pillars of sustainability: environment, economy, and society.

C Block Legal Studies - Today we'll identify what our fundamental freedoms are (section 2 a-d of the Charter).  I'll have you complete on your own questions 1-5 on page 40 of the All About Law text. Next you'll be back in partners to work through the Multani v. Commission scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys (2006) case on pages 41-42 of the All About Law text. After we discuss the case I'd like you and your partner to choose four of the items/statements/scenarios from the list below. If you need to, use your All About Law text and then we'll figure out whether or not Section 2 of the Charter covers the following...
