Today's schedule is altered to accommodate a tutorial block this morning. The schedule for the day looks like this:

9:05 - 10:10 Tutorial
10:15 - 11:15 B Block
11:20 - 12:20 A Block
12:20 - 1:00 Lunch
1:05 - 2:05 D Block
2:10 - 3:15 C Block

B Block Law 12 - Today I have the notebooks booked for you to continue your work on the major civil law project that is due in just over two weeks. Including today there are nine classes remaining until your final exam and eleven classes left until your project is due. Tomorrow we'll start "The War of the Roses".

A Block Social Studies 11 - Today we'll look at the cycle of poverty using two power points about material wealth and food (based on photography from Peter Menzel). Later we will make a connection between the social problems (gender, health, children, etc.) in HIPC's with economic development. We will examine traditional economies which are based in primary industries and subsistence farming and compare those with developing and developed economies. Tomorrow we'll be in the library working on either a glogster on line poster or a hard copy poster...more on tomorrow's blog. Remember yesterday we worked on questions 2, 4 a and b and 5 a on page 345? Today we'll work on question 1 from page 351; 1 and 2 a and b from page 357; question 1 from page 360 and question 1 from page 364.

D Block Criminology 12 - Today we'll start with a bit of time to finish up the gang activity that we started yesterday in class. Don't forget you need to explain the activities of each group (aboriginal crime groups, cartels, ethnic crime groups, and outlaw motorcycle gangs): What do they do? How do they do it? What do they control? Where are they based in Canada? After this we'll take a few notes down about gangs and then I'll show you a quick video on biker gangs in the United States. We'll look at "Bandido Army" an episode from Gangland season three where a profile of the Bandidos, a gang in San Antonio is featured. Former members of the Bandidos take us inside the most feared motorcycle gang in Texas. Insiders discuss the gang’s crimes and what is required to earn the famous “No Mercy” patch.

C Block Geography 12 - Today we are finishing up the James Bay Hydroelectric Project topographic map assignment. You will need to work on the following questions from the Canadian Landscape topographic map book: 1, 2, 3, 4 a through d, 6 a and b, and 7a (page 75).
