Today's schedule is A-B-C-D

We have shortened blocks this morning due to the assembly so on to the day

D & A - Criminology 12 - Today we will take the first twenty-five minutes of class to write our victimology and violent crime quiz. After, we'll continue our look at serial and mass murder. I'll continue our look at Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold who killed 13 students at Columbine High School in Littleton Colorado (for more see school shooters) and then we'll spend some time looking at the leader of the "People's Temple"- the Reverend James Warren "Jim" Jones and the mass suicide of over 900 people in Jonestown Guyana.

We'll also take some time to discuss Jeffrey Dahmer who murdered 17 men & boys in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and tomorrow I'll have you watch a documentary on him in class (which you can also see here or below).

B - Earth & Space Science 11 - Today you'll begin the class with an atmosphere in the vertical activity. You'll need to plot the temperature profile of the standard atmosphere and the atmosphere over Buffalo, New York. There are some questions comparing the two atmospheric profiles. We'll try to see the connection between the thickness of the atmosphere and temperatures. Then we'll look at the controversy regarding human induced changes to the atmosphere specifically
  1. Acid deposition through H2SO4 and HNO3;
  2. Ozone depletion through CFCl3Chlorofluorocarbons (CFC's); and
  3. Global Warming through Greenhouse Gas emissions CO2, CH4, N2O and SF6
You'll need to work on questions 12 through 21 on page 426 of the Earth Science and the Environment text.

C - Geography 12 - Today you have a unit final on weather...No problems! I am certain that you will do well on this test as you've shown me that you can read and interpret a weather map with greater ability than most news "weather forecasters". Tomorrow we watch the movie "Twister" and in the time remaining after the test you may work on your Okanagan Valley topographic map assignment that we began on Monday.
