There is an early dismissal today for reporting to parents on Interim grades so the classes are shortened to an hour for each block. You'll be dismissed at 2:00 and the schedule looks like this:

C - Criminology 12 - Today we will take the first twenty-five minutes of class to finish the Jeffrey Dahmer documentary we started yesterdaty and then talk about it afterwards. We'll then shift into a discussion about rape and sexual assault in Canada. You'll take down a few notes on what a sexual assault is along with the three levels of sexual assault in Canadian Law. B - Social Studies 10 - Today we are going to finish looking at the rebellion in Lower Canada where we'll talk about Ste. Denis, Ste. Charles, and Ste. Eustache. We will learn the story of Dr. Olivier Chernier and see how the British treatment of him resonated for over 140 years in Quebec (all the way up to the FLQ in 1970). Today we'll spend some time watching the Canada: A People's History episodes: "A Seething Anger"; "On the Eve of Rebellion"; "The Die is Cast"; "The Explosion"; and "The Last Stand".
A - Earth & Space Science 11 - Today you'll have the block to work through the "Geologic Time Worksheet 2" using pages 84-90 in the Earth Science and the Environment text. This deals with both absolute and relative time dating principles. Today we'll finish our look at Earth history, mass extinctions, and geologic time. We'll take a few notes down and look at extinction events (like the Permian mass extinction where 95% of all species on the planet died off within 1000 years and the K/T extinction 65 million years ago which wiped out 60% of all life on the planet). We'll have a few questions to work on at the end of the class (For Review #'s 10, 11, 12, 13, 14,and 15 from page 93 in the Earth Science and the Environment textbook).
