B - Geography 12 - Today we will continue our work on climatology. You will need to finish up the climate description activity from yesterday and then begin work on drawing and interpreting four climate graphs (Day 72 in your week 15 package: Bahia, Brazil; Montreal, Quebec; New Orleans, Louisiana; and Yuma, Arizona). A - Social Studies 11 - Today we will start with the Canada: A People’s History episode “Years of Hope and Anger” chapters 6 “Under a New Flag”, 8 “Vive le Quebec Libre!”, and 12 "October 1970". You'll need to work on questions 4 a & 5 a from page 194. Tomorrow we will be continuing our work on Quebec “nationalism” and the roots of the separatist movement (Chapter 8 pages 190-204 in the Counterpoints textbook). We'll go through pages 198 – 204 as a class and then work on the following questions 1, 3, 4, 5, & 7a from page 200. To help with the questions we'll watch Canada: A People’s History episodes “In an Uncertain World” chapters 3 “The Choice” and 6 “The Night of the Long Knives”
D - Law 12 - Today we will take a few notes down on defences to negligence, professional negligence, and occupiers' liability. Next we'll go through four cases of negligence together as a class. This is all practice to help you with your major project. There are just 13 classes remaining before the in class final exam days so use this week wisely! The cases we'll look at are Floyd et al. v. Bowers et al. (1979) on page 300, Jones v. Green et al. (1994) on page 303, Reibl v Hughes (1980) on page 306, and Hague v. Billings (1993) on page 308. In the remaining time you may work on your case study project
C - Introduction to Law 9/10 - Today we will start criminal law with a period of questions; you may ask me anything about criminal law that you want answered. I am not shy or embarrassed by anything so feel free to ask away.
