D - Law 12 - Today we will quickly review the "Essential" requirements for marriage (age, not currently married, affinity/consanguinity, mental capacity, willingness) and the "Formal" requirements for marriage (age, license, ceremony). We'll then talk about annulment, separation (living separate and apart) and separation agreements. For the last half of the class we'll be in the library working on our civil law project.
C - Introduction to Law 9/10 - Today we'll start with looking at searches (with and without a warrant) and pre-trial releases. Next we'll look at the court levels here in BC. We'll us the Courts of BC website to help us make sense of the court levels and figure out what types of cases are heard. After we'll look at the trial of an indictable offence.
A - Social Studies 11 - Today we will take a look at population distribution, density, carrying capacity, and the limits to population growth. We'll look through pages 332 - 337 in the text and watch a very short video on the history of population for the world. You'll have the rest of the class to work on your population assignment (due a week from today). Our next topic is living standards, poverty, debt, and health on a global scale.
B - Geography 12 - Today we look at the ethics associated with resource use. We'll watch a 20 minute on line video called the Story of Stuff.

We'll look at the different forms of "capital" and understand the concept of "natural capital" and we'll end the class with a seemingly simple question...."How Much do You Consume?"
