Today's schedule is D-C-Lunch-A-B

Today is an altered schedule day in order to accomodate the requirements for Meet the Teacher evening. The day's schedule looks like this:
D Block 8:55-9:50
C Block 9:55-10:50
LUNCH 10:55-11:55
A Block 12-1
B Block 1:05-2

D- Law 12 - Today you're in the library again for the last day of research and preparations for your controversial legal issues project. Although today is your last day to work on this assignment in school, the project is not due until next week so you have time to finish. Don't forget to look at yesterday's post for links and the assignment explanation. If you need to swap your project files on to a memory card or e-mail it to yourself at home so that you may finish the work. This is a major project mark so incomplete work will harm your grade...get it done and get it in, don't procrastinate. I've seen that you've worked hard in the library and I look forward to reading your ideas.

A - Social Studies 11 - Today we'll examine the horrors of trench warfare in World War One. We'll focus on Ypres, the Somme, Vimy Ridge, and Passchendaele (specifically Canadian involvement). We'll look at the advances in technology that caused the stalemate on the Western Front and the slaughter of millions of men. To begin we'll take a few notes down about the Schlieffen Plan and the Western Front. Next we'll look at what trenches were like and then we'll watch the Canada: A People's History episode "Go Out and Meet Death Bravely"

B- Geography 12 - Today we'll finish Dante's Peak. You have questions from the movie that are due tomorrow and I'll give you time to answer them after we finish the movie. NOTE: Your Orting, Washington case study is due today! For a quick preview of what might happen to Orting check out the video clip from American Volcano here.
