A - Social Studies 11 - Welcome to Social Studies 11. Today we will go through the course outline package and become familiar with the routines and structures of room 611. We will take the class to orient ourselves to the curriculum and get ready to look at the topic for the week - Regionalism and the challenges to Canada.
B- Geography 12 - Welcome to Geography 12...the most important class you'll ever take in your life. Today we lose the class to a school wide grade 11-12 assembly. Tomorrow be prepared to come to class and get going on observational and analytical skills through the lens of Geography.
D- Law 12 - Welcome to Law 12. Today we will go through the course outline package and then we'll talk about career paths that are available with Law. Next we'll get together in groups and discuss what crime is, why we have laws, and figure out the difference between what is legal what is moral and what is ethical. We'll put that together on some large sheets of paper and end with a class discussion on what we worked on in groups.
Nestled away, in the back corner of G.P. Vanier, you'll find room 115 (we used to be 611). Lurking in the shadows of this room is Mr. Young...waiting to pounce on unsuspecting students and natter on about volcanoes, hail, psychopathy, criminal law defenses, cultural diffusion, media theories, crime, and urban models of city development. He loves his job in 115 and can't wait to work with you this year.
