The Riel worksheets are due tomorrow along with a U Shaped debate (each of you must be prepared to back your view with at least three pieces of evidence). Come prepared!

A - Social Studies 11 - Today with Mr. Lux you'll start with current events and then there will be a quick review of yesterday's mapping activity of the European theater of war from 1943-45. Next you'll get a handout on the Pacific theater of war and the spread of war on a global scale. There will be five questions you'll need to complete on the handout and the answers can be found on the handout itself. At the end of the class you'll go over the answers and hand in the work for the day.

C - Criminology 12 - Today we will finish the notes from Chapter 1 (Actus Reus and Mens Rea) then we'll spend some time looking at where we get our crime statistics from (UCR/PRVS/Self-Reports) and finally we'll examine crime trends and patterns. You'll get a quick Power Point presentation on the sources of crime statistics and explaining crime trends (related to pages 37-8 and Crime Patterns pages 42-9 of the text). You will also work through the question from yesterday dealing with a three year old and a crime. Tomorrow we'll start the class by looking at "chronic offenders" and then we'll finish the Criminal Minds episode from last week.
