Today's schedule is D-C-Lunch-A-B

D - Geography 12 - Today we will spend the entire class working on the Okanagan Valley topographic map out of the Canadian Landscape Air Photo & Topographic Map textbook. The map can be found on pages 27-31 of the text and you will need to work on questions 1 a-c, 2 i, ii & c, 3 a & b, 5 a, b, c, & d, 8, 9 a, b, c, and 11. C - Introduction to Law 9/10 - Today we are going to look at some cases in criminal law and will try to find out what the actus reus / mens rea are of the crimes AND who could be charged & for what. We'll then look look at pre-trial procedures (after arrest what happens next?) and there will be some questions to answer in class.

A - Law 12 - Today you have most of the class to work on your civil law case study project. We will take a few notes down about the Intentional Torts, specifically:
  • intent, motive, and mistakes in civil law
  • trespass to person (assault, battery, medical assault and battery, and false imprisonment)
We will look at one case Malette v. Shulman (1990) from page 324 of your text.

B- Earth and Space Science 11 - Today you'll work on two activities. First you'll work on the Project Atmosphere Canada activities Major Winter Snowstorm - how appropriate for today! and Operation Icestorm. After, you'll work on "For Review" questions 12, 15, and 19 on page 478 along with the Atmosphere Worksheet 3. We'll continue this tomorrow and then watch the horrifically bad movie "The Day After Tomorrow" (more about why it's bad tomorrow and the day after tomorrow).
