Today's schedule is C-D-Lunch-B-A

C - Introduction to Law 9/10 -
Today we will spend the entire class in the library working on our forensic science web page project. After today, there are just three work days left for this project (Monday, January 5th, 12th, and 19th, 2009). Don't forget that you need at least one print source and the library has many to choose from. I also have many books that you can use for your project. Your crime scene reconstruction - investigation activity is due today! Please make sure you get the crime scene activity to me by the end of the day.

D - Geography 12 - Today you have a unit final on weather...No problems! I am certain that you will do well on this test as you've shown me that you can read and interpret a weather map with greater ability than most news "weather forecasters". The rest of the week sees us play the stop disasters game in the library, work on the Okanagan Valley topographic map and then we watch "Twister". You'll have to figure out which character is MOST like Mr. Young and there are bits of Mr. Young in most of the main and secondary characters in the movie. We'll try to find the errors in meteorology (like the meteorologist at the beginning of the movie saying that an F5 was about to strike - the scene takes place in 1969 but the Fujita scale was not introduced until 1971. Nit picky? Yep! Don't forget, I'm a weather nerd!)

B- Earth and Space Science 11 - Today we'll look at atmospheric moisture (clouds, precipitation, and humidity). Tomorrow we'll look at wind and weather focusing on winter storms (blizzards and ice storms). Wednesday we look at Climate and on Thursday you'll have a quiz (not test!) on the atmosphere and weather.

A - Law 12
- Today we will go through four cases of negligence together as a class. This is all practice to help you with your major project. There are just 17 classes remaining before the in class final exam days so use this week wisely! The cases we'll look at are Floyd et al. v. Bowers et al. (1979) on page 300, Jones v. Green et al. (1994) on page 303, Reibl v Hughes (1980) on page 306, and Hague v. Billings (1993) on page 308. In the remaining time you may work on your case study project.
