B - Earth & Space Science 11 - Today we'll go over the work we completed Friday for our chapter 1 review. After, we'll start to look at minerals and mineral structure. We'll review elements, atoms, and chemical bonds in class and take a look at the crystaline nature of minerals. There will be homework tonight on these topics ("For Review" questions 1-6 on page 43 in the Earth Science and the Environment textbook). Our first lab will be later on this week (identifying minerals on Thursday and Friday this week) and a reminder that our first quiz will be next week.

Tim & Moby will help us undertsand Atomic structure today as will our friend Bill Nye but if you need more help with atomic structure look at : Chem4Kids
C - Geography 12 - Today I'll spend some time going over the answers to your work on systems, feedback, equilibrium, and thresholds. A reminder: the "Geography ID" assignment is due today (NOTE: you'll need access to the Internet and Google Earth - download Google Earth for free at http://earth.google.com/) and I will take your week 1 package then. Next we'll move on to geographic spheres within the Earth system and discuss the Lithosphere, the Atmosphere, and the Hydrosphere. Tomorrow we'll work on the Biosphere a question about spheres and move on to latitude, longitude, GPS, and GIS.
