Today's schedule is A-AG-B-C-D

A Block Social Studies 11 - Today you have your 20's, 30's and 40's unit final. We'll mark the first two sections in class and then you will be working on your "Cold War Flashpoints" activity where you analyze the following four conflicts through a W5H approach: Korean War, Vietnam War, Suez Crisis, and the Cuban Missile Crisis. You'll have the next two classes to work on this and you'll have a few handouts to help. NOTE: W5H = Who (countries & people) was involved; What happened during the conflict; When did the conflict take place; Where did the conflict break out and spread to; Why did the conflict occur; and How was Canada involved and affected by the conflict.

B Block Geography 12 - Today we’ll take a brief look at climatology and climate types on the planet, making sense of the Koppen climate classification system. I'll have you work on questions 1 & 4 from page 325 of the Counterpoints textbook. In the remaining time you can cut, colour and glue 'cause it's almost due.

C Block Law 9/10 - Today you'll continue our look at criminal forensics by getting fingerprinted. We will all get one set of fingers (and thumb) on one hand fingerprinted (our non dominant hand) by using graphite pencils and scotch tape. You will need to identify whether or not your prints are loops, arches, or whorls and then place them up on the blackboard. We will then count up the total number of loops, arches, and whorls for each finger (and thumb) for the class and graph the data.
