Wednesday's schedule is D-C-Lunch-A-B.

D - Geography 12 - Yesterday we looked at magma, igneous rocks, and plutonic (intrusive) igneous rock features (both concordant and discordant). Today we will focus on sedimentary and metamorphic rocks. We'll take down a cross section diagram of the geology here in south western British Columbia. We'll collectively define compaction, cementation, recrystalization, clastic sedimentary rock, and non clastic sedimentary rock. We will define contact, regional, and dynamic metamorphosism and you'll have question 15 from page 366 in your Geosystems text for homework.

A - Law 12 - You have some homework due today (R. v. Keegstra and questions 1-4 & 8-11 on page 44). Today we'll talk about how to resolve infringements on your charter rights and spend time on the Irwin Toy Limited v. Attorney General of Quebec (1989) case. I'll ask you to look at human rights in Canada and there will be a series of questions to complete (questions 1, 3, 4, & 5 from page 47 and questions 2, 3, & 5 from page 49). Tomorrow we'll spend some time in groups working on resolving cases.

B- Earth and Space Science 11 - Yesterday we finished looking at the rock cycle and had some questions to complete (9-19 on page 70). Today we'll briefly look at mining in Canada; specifically we'll focus on ores, minerals, and fossil fuels (mineral and energy resources). You'll need to work on For Review questions 3, 6, 7, 8, & 9 and For Discussion question 8 in class today. Tomorrow and Friday you're in the library working on a mining in Canada project.
