Friday's schedule is C-D-Lunch-B-A.

D - Geography 12
- Today we'll begin the class by watching Geologic Journeys:The Rockies. This episode is all about terrain building and the formation of the Rockies in Canada. When the video is finished, you'll work on your Day 14 assignment (define anticline & syncline, and work on questions 4 - 5 from page 412 in your Geosystems text). You will also have the opportunity to work on your Juan de Fuca plate and Geothermal energy questions as well. All of your work is due this Monday.

B- Earth and Space Science 11 - Today we will continue our work in the library on mining in Canada. Your poster project is due on October 3 (next Friday) and today is the last class time you'll get to work on this assignment. Websites like Mining in Canada, The Mining Association of Canada 2008 Report, StatsCan Mining Report, InfoMine, Metal Mining from the National Atlas, and even.... ugh Wikipedia can help!

A - Law 12 - Today we start with presenting our cases we were assigned yesterday (questions 1-8 Applying Legal Concepts in the All About Law textbook - pages 53-55). You will have three minutes to present a synopsis of the case and answer the question posed in the book. Be precise! After each group has presented their case, we'll shift to Law & Order. The episode we are watching today is called "Performance" and deals with the sexual assault of a high school student. There are constitutional issues (a hearing in front of the New York State Court of Appeals) and some very bad and creepy behaviour of students. We will debrief the video on Monday.

Pau Hana!
